Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by effectively engaging with clients and showcasing our product offerings. Brief description
An IT sales representative actively promotes and sells the company’s products and services by personally contacting and securing new business accounts with customers on behalf of the company. This document uses the term “customer” to refer to either a prospective or an existing customer of the company.
Core Functions
· Promotes/sells/secures new business from customers through a direct selling approach.
· Demonstrates products and services to customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Duties & responsibilities of this role
· Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for CNiC products and services.
· Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to customers.
· Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for customers.
· Maintains contact with customers after the deal has been made.
· Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
· Coordinates sales effort with marketing, management, accounting, and technical services.
· Identifies advantages and compares CNiC products/services with that of its competitors.
· Supplies management with oral and written reports on sales activity, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
· Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
· Participates in trade shows and conventions.
· Works efficiently in a highly autonomous role.
Job Requirements
The IT sales representative must:
· Possess post-secondary professional or academic IT certification.
· Be well groomed.
· Be able to determine timely solutions for customers in various business situations.
· Be knowledgeable and up-to-date about the IT industry.
· Master the information and skills needed to sell CNiC products/services.
· Possess strong selling and communication skills.
· Have a valid driver’s license.
Previous experience in a similar IT position is an asset but not essential. College and professional graduates welcome.
Salary
The IT sales representative’s income will be calculated based on a base salary plus commission on personal sales completed during the period as follows:
Commission: (2.5% to 10%) of gross personal sales according to the commission schedule.
Min. Quota: $10,000 gross sales per month.
Salary Cap: No cap on income
Pay Cycle: Semi-Monthly
